Hi, I'm the Chief Marshal for the Tour of Hamsterley rally & also the creator of the website. I have revamped the site slightly from last year, so maybe this years website will attract more competitors...... maybe not. Anyway, i hope you all appreciate the changes to the website, as anyone who codes will know, it can be a long process.
The Blog is an idea joint clerk of the course Steve Wagget came up with. Only thing is... i had the job of creating it & trying to stitch it into the website. Hopefully it will be a useful addition to the website and a chance for us the organisers to keep everyone updated with rally organisation progress as it happens.
I will leave much of the organisation posts to other members of the organising team, but will post my own stuff relating to marshaling or the website as and when it happens. The route is mainly finalised and we have some great changes to the Rally for 2009, like proper hard standing servicing, stages in Stang forest as well as in Hamsterley. For those who are not so keen on maps, there will be patterson route notes available too. anyway, as i say, more of that from other members of the team.
